Full Description
After picking up the bikes at our sightseeing.lu store, you will discover the most beautiful places of the capital in a single bike trip. Move around on our latest generation e-bikes to get from one place to another without getting too tired, because this tour doesn’t include any hills… or almost none! Everything is done by elevator or by funicular.
Your e-bike journey
From the city center, you will be directly immersed in the green heart of the city, the Pétrusse Valley with its numerous possibilities to relax in a green area. From there you will be directed to the Grund where you will take the elevator to the Plateau du St. Esprit and the Judicial City – Cité Judiciaire. From here, you can ride along the Grand Ducal Palace to the historical center and its Herb Market.
The Grand-Ducal Palace is the town residence of the Grand-Duke, it has without a doubt one of the most beautiful facades in the city, inspired from Flemish Renaissance of the 16th century. Located in the heart of the city, the palace serves as both a symbolic and functional building. It is the place of official ceremonies, receptions and other important events related to the Grand-Ducal family and the government.
From the Bock crag, known as “Bockfiels”, you have a wonderful view of the Grund and the Abbey of Neimënster, which you will reach by bike right after. A small trail along the Alzette will lead you to the Rives de Clausen, a popular nightlife spot amongst Luxembourgish people. Continue to the Pfaffenthal until you reach the funicular that will take you to Kirchberg.
Financial district
Continue to the Pfaffenthal until you reach the funicular that will take you to Kirchberg. You will get out at the foot of the European institutions. Even this imposing alley has its own little park, which you can cross by bike, and then discover the most important buildings of the Luxembourg financial center.
Modernism
The Kirchberg area combines modernism and antiquity, and nothing is more obvious than the Grand Duke Jean Museum of Modern Art to prove this to you. The Mudam was built on a former military fort which stands out with its imposing glass surfaces on the old 19th century walls.
End of the tour
Once you’ve passed through, you’ll go back down to the Pfaffenthal to take the panoramic elevator to the gardens of the Pescatore Foundation. From there you will reach the city park and the Kinnekswiss, which announces the end of our e-bike tour through the capital.

Après avoir récupéré les vélos à notre magasin, vous allez découvrir les plus beaux endroits de la capitale en un tour de vélo seulement. Déplacez-vous sur nos vélos électriques de dernière génération pour vous rendre à votre aise d’un point à l’autre sans trop vous fatiguer, car ce tour ne comporte pas de montées… ou presque ! Tout se fait par ascenseurs ou encore par le funiculaire.
Du centre ville, vous allez être directement plongé dans le poumon de la ville, la vallée de la Pétrusse avec ses nombreuses possibilités de se ressourcer dans un espace vert. De là, vous serez dirigé vers le Grund où vous prendrez l’ascenseur qui monte sur le Plateau du St. Esprit et la Cité Judiciaire.
A partir d’ici, vous longerez le Palais Grand-Ducal afin de vous rendre dans le centre historique et son Marché aux Herbes. Sur le Rocher du Bock, le “Bockfiels”, vous aurez une superbe vue plongeante sur le Grund et l’Abbaye de Neimënster.
Une petite piste le long de l’Alzette vous mènera jusqu’aux Rives de Clausen, un site incontournable de la vie nocturne des Luxembourgeois. Continuez dans le Pfaffenthal, zone urbaine, jusqu’à rejoindre le funiculaire qui vous montera jusqu’au Plateau de Kirchberg.
Vous sortirez au coeur des institutions européennes. Même cette imposante allée comporte son petit parc que vous traverserez à vélo, pour ensuite découvrir les plus importants bâtiments de la place financière luxembourgeoise.
Le quartier du Kirchberg mélange modernisme et antique, et rien de plus simple que le MUDAM pour vous le démontrer. Le musée d’art moderne Grand-Duc Jean (MUDAM) a été construit sur un ancien fort militaire qui se démarque par ses imposantes surfaces vitrées sur les anciennes murailles du 19ème siècle. Une fois passés par là, vous allez redescendre dans le Pfaffenthal pour cette fois-ci prendre l’ascenseur panoramique qui vous hissera dans les jardins de la fondation Pescatore. De là, vous rejoindrez le grand parc Kinnekswiss qui annonce la fin du tour à travers la capitale.
