It owes its name to the bright red iron ore that led to the success of the steel industry in Luxembourg. In the meantime, the Land of the Red Rocks underwent a successful restructuring. Its current appearance mirrors the past characterized by coal and steel as well as the new technologies of the present.

 

Program of the day:

  • National Mining Museum
  • Blast furnace Esch-Belval
  • Train 1900
  • Brasserie Bofferding

 

A Sales-Lentz bus picks you up at your hotel (in Luxembourg and the greater region).

 

Morning: you will visit the mining museum and afterwards the blast furnaces in Esch-Belval. The guided tours are being held French, German, or English.

Lunch: Common lunch in Fonds de Gras.

Afternoon: ride on the historic train “Train 1900” (8 km). Guided tour of the brewery "Bofferding & Battin" and explanation of the different stages of the production process of Bofferding beer. Your discovery of the world of breweries ends with a tasting of 100% natural beers.

End of the tour at your hotel.
